Thirteen people have been taken to hospital after the Brooklyn subway shooting.
The city’s fire department has announced that five people have been shot with 13 injured.
New York Police Department are hunting for a man in a gas mask after the New York subway shooting.
Fire department personnel arrived at the 36th Street station in Sunset Park in Brooklyn after reports of smoke and found multiple people shot.
A photo from the scene showed passenger attempting to help bloodied people lying on the floor of the station.
New York City police have said they were answering to reports of wounded people either by an explosion or by gunfire.

Trains at the 36th Street station were delayed throughout the morning commute.
