Amber Heard has been accused of ‘faking it’ while on the stand in court with her ex-husband Johnny Depp.

Depp launched a defamation lawsuit against Heard in 2019, after the Aquaman star described herself as a victim of domestic abuse in a 2018 article she penned in The Washington Post. Heard never mentioned Depp by name but the actor argued that the article she wrote tarnished his reputation and ultimately his acting career.

The 36-year-old actress took to the witness stand for the first time on Wednesday, claiming that Depp physically and mentally abused her, that he allegedly slapped her on multiple occasions and that he sexually abused her, performing a ‘cavity search’ on one particular occasion.

Many, however, are not convinced that the actress is being completely truthful and have even claimed that she is ‘fake’ crying.

When asked if she remembered the first time Depp hit her, the Aquaman actress described the time when she laughed at his tattoo and Depp slapped her three consecutive times in response. While describing the event, Heard appeared to become emotional.

Many internet sleuths claim that although appearing very emotional on the stand, there were actually no tears.
