Amber Heard took to the stand for the first time on Wednesday and said that she seen Johnny Depp cry and that it was ‘weird for a man to cry.’
Depp launched a defamation lawsuit against his ex-wife Amber Heard in 2019, after the Aquaman star described herself as a victim of domestic abuse in a 2018 article she penned in The Washington Post. Heard never mentioned Depp by name but the actor argued that the article she wrote tarnished his reputation and ultimately his acting career.
The actress took to the stand for the first time yesterday and was describing one occasion where Depp allegedly smacked her across the face. She claimed it was the first time he hit her.
She described how the actor allegedly smacked her after she laughed at his tattoo. He then supposedly broke down in tears and apologised.
Heard’s description of the 58-year-old crying however, has some people upset, online.
She says:
“Before i know it, he starts crying…i’d never seen an adult man cry. It’s weird…and he’s crying”
