Amber Heard is now being investigated for perjury.
The 36-year-old is once again the subject of more legal action, only one month after her defamation trial with ex husband Johnny Depp.
Heard is the subject of an “ongoing” perjury investigation in Australia in relation to a visit she made to Queensland with Depp in 2015.
The couple broke the countries strict quarantine and biosecurity laws by not declaring their Yorkshire terriers upon their arrival.
The actress was charged with two counts of illegally bringing the dogs, Pistol and Boo, into the country. The case was closed and the Aquaman actress plead guilty to falsifying travel documents.
However, the Australian Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment has now revealed that Heard is the subject of perjury during these court proceedings.
A spokesperson told ET Canada:
“The Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment (department) is investigating allegations of perjury by Ms. Heard during court proceedings for the 2015 illegal importation of (her) two dogs into Australia.”
The spokesperson told the publication that the situation was “ongoing”.
