Amber Heard Said She ‘Fought Really Hard’ to Appear in ‘Aquaman 2’ and Was Given a Pared Down Role

Amber Heard said she ‘fought really hard’ to appear in Aquaman 2 and was ultimately given a pared down role.

On Monday, during the first day back in court after a week-long break, Heard took to the stand once more and testified that she had to fight to stay in the Aquaman sequel.

The 36-year-old claimed that she now has a “pared down” role as some action scenes were removed from the film.

Heard said:

“I fought really hard to stay in the movie. They didn’t want to include me in the film,”

The actress plays Mera, the love interest of the main character, played by Jason Momoa.

The first instalment grossed over $1.1 billion and is one of Warner Bros. most successful DC movies.

When questioned about the movie, Heard said:

“I was given a script and then given new versions of the script that had taken away scenes that had action in it that depicted my character and another character — without giving any spoilers away — two characters fighting with one another. They basically took a bunch out of my role. They just removed a bunch out,”

A petition to remove Heard entirely from the new film has gained traction online, with over 4.1 million signatures at the time of writing.
