During the 2023 SAG Awards ceremony, Aubrey Plaza was captured on camera appearing “annoyed” and mouthing an angry phrase after the cast of “The White Lotus” won Best Ensemble in a Drama Series.
As the cast, including Plaza, gathered on stage to accept the award, F. Murray Abraham gave the acceptance speech, during which he sent a prayer out to those affected by the recent earthquakes in Syria and Turkey, and for peace in Ukraine and Russia.
Suddenly, he shouted “Union forever!” which caused the crowd to cheer. However, Plaza seemed unimpressed as she watched the rest of the cast congratulate each other.
@nyolsen “Jesus Christ”💀💀 I do feel bad for her tho, they kept pushing her in the back and some bald m*n was touching her #aubreyplaza #aubreyplazasupremacy #aubreyplazaismywife #sagawards #fyp #wlw #sapphic #trending
At one point during the ceremony, Jon Gries, who played Jennifer Coolidge’s husband on the series, could be seen grabbing Plaza’s arm and whispering something in her ear.
He appeared to point out that she was about to suffer a wardrobe malfunction, causing her to promptly adjust her dress before turning back to Abraham. Plaza then seemed to mouth the phrase “Jesus Christ” before she and Will Sharpe were the first to leave the stage after the win.

Twitter users quickly picked up on Plaza’s reaction, with some questioning why she appeared so “mad” to win for “The White Lotus.”
Others pointed out that she looked “really pissed off” and exited the stage alone while the rest of the cast congratulated and hugged each other.
Plaza, who also appeared on stage earlier in the evening alongside Jenna Ortega to poke fun at their resemblance, is best known for her role as April Ludgate on the hit series “Parks and Recreation.”
Meanwhile, her co-star Jennifer Coolidge also took home the Actor for Best Female Actor in a Drama Series for her role in “The White Lotus.”
