The hacktivists group Anonymous claims it has successfully carried out a new cyberattack on Russian government websites including the FSB.
The group claim they have taken down four government websites. Last week, they hacked Russia’s media censorship agency and 340,000 files from Roskomnadzor federal agency were released.
Anonymous took to Twitter to broadcast the websites they claim to have brought down, including FSB, the Russian intelligence service. Using the military term ‘Tango down’, the organisation named 4 websites they take responsibility for hacking and brining down.

Moscow.ru, the Analytical Centre for the Government of Russian Federation, the Ministry of Sport of the Russian Federation and Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB), which is the main descendant agency of the Soviet Union’s KGB, were all taken over by the organisation, the hackers claim.
They have also leaked correspondence which they claim is between Vladimir Putin and Sergei Shoigu, Russia’s defence minister, outlining plans to cut down and sell Ukrainian forests:

Last week, the hacktivists claimed to have hacked into Russian state TV, airing footage of the war in Ukraine. Also, hacking into Russian media sites to replace pages with a ‘tombstone’ in honour of those killed at war.
Claiming that they hacked Russia 24, Channel One and Moscow 24 to show the Russian people the realities of war.
The organisation said they are involved in the ‘biggest Anonymous op ever seen’ in their ‘take-down of Russia’.
