Beyoncé Said to Quit Your Job and Some Fans Actually Did

Beyoncé released her new song “Break My Soul” last week and some fans have taken that literally…

Her new dance anthem has gone down well with fans, so well in fact, that some are using it as inspiration to leave their dead end jobs in search of better opportunities.

“Break My Soul”, sang by Queen B and New Orleans bounce star Big Freedia is a song about freedom and refusing to let a job you don’t care about get you down.

The lyrics read:

“Now, I just fell in love / And I just quit my job,”

“I’m gonna find new drive / Damn, they work me so damn hard / Work by 9 / Then off past 5 / And they work my nerves / That’s why I cannot sleep at night.”

Some fans took these words literally, with some writing on social media:

Some people pointed out that fans would struggle to pay for the 40-year-old’s merch or concert tickets with no job…

‘Beyoncé telling us to quit our jobs knowing we need to make money for her tour she is so funny’
The hosts of The View even discussed it, Whoopi Goldberg saying:
“The question is, is this song going to inspire more people to rethink their career paths?”
What do you think?
