Bill Gates and Elon Musk, two of the world’s wealthiest individuals, have been embroiled in an ongoing and somewhat unusual feud.
This feud has been marked by peculiar exchanges and criticisms exchanged between the two billionaires.
Recently, Gates opened up about their disagreements, shedding light on some of the behind-the-scenes tensions.
Gates disclosed details about his relationship with Musk in Walter Isaacson’s new biography of the Tesla and SpaceX CEO.
He mentioned that their feud had escalated when Musk learned that Gates had shorted Tesla’s stock. According to Gates, once Musk discovered this, he became “super mean” towards him. Gates, however, noted that Musk has a reputation for being “super mean” to many people, so he didn’t take it too personally.
In addition to the shorting of Tesla stock, Gates revealed that he had apologized to Musk, but their relationship didn’t improve as a result.
This feud is not the only interesting revelation to come from Isaacson’s biography of Musk. Grimes, Musk’s on-again, off-again girlfriend, shared that the tech mogul stayed up all night playing video games after making an offer for the app that would eventually become known as X.
