Alec Baldwin broke down in tears and claimed he didn’t pull the trigger of the gun that killed Halyna Hutchins.
Hutchins was killed when a prop gun held by Baldwin on the set of the movie Rust was discharged.
Speaking to ABC, Baldwin claimed he never pulled the trigger of the gun.
Asked by @GStephanopoulos how a real bullet got on the "Rust" set, Alec Baldwin says: “I have no idea. Someone put a live bullet in a gun. A bullet that wasn’t even supposed to be on the property.”

An experienced gun expert has called out Baldwin’s claims that he didn’t pull the trigger.
Steve Wolf, a movie armorer with more than 30 years in the business, was asked what the chances are of Baldwin’s claims being true are: “One a scale of one to 10? Zero.”
He continued:
“You know, guns don’t go up by themselves, right? It’s an inanimate object. It has no batteries. It has no timer. It has no web connection. It’s not a smart piece of equipment. It’s it’s very reliable device that shoots when you press the trigger, and it doesn’t shoot when you don’t press the trigger.”
Now, body language expert Patti Wood has analyzed the interview to see if he was telling the truth.
When he says the trigger wasn’t pulled, it’s explosive meaning that he’s striking down the phrase ‘the trigger wasn’t pulled’.
He’s striking down on each word to emphasize it with great strength. There’s no hesitation in that the trigger wasn’t pulled. Instead, it’s punching which would indicate that he strongly feels that and so it’s likely to be true.
Baldwin was asked how the bullet even got in the gun. He replied:
“I have no idea. Someone put a live bullet in a gun. A bullet that wasn’t even supposed to be on the property.”
He also began crying when talking about Hutchins and how loved and admired she was.
“She was someone who was loved by everyone who worked with [her] and liked by everyone who worked with [her] and admired,”
“I mean, even now, I find it hard to believe. It just doesn’t seem real to me.”
The investigation into how this tragedy happened is ongoing.
