New footage has emerged online of Bradley Cooper consoling Will Smith shortly after the actor slapped Chris Rock during the Oscars on 27 March.

In TikTok user @_crystaldlace’s video, you can clearly see the 47-year-old Nightmare Alley actor talking with his hand on Smith’s shoulder – right before he hugs him.

Smith is still making daily headlines after he slapped Chris Rock at the 94th Academy Awards ceremony for making a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith, comparing her to G.I. Jane due to her shaved head, which she didn’t appreciate as the actress suffers with alopecia.

In the clip, filmed during an interval when the cameras were turned away, Cooper can be seen consoling the actor inside the Dolby theatre.

Cooper was not the only celeb who appeared to console Smith, alongside Denzel Washington and Tyler Perry.

The King Richard actor revealed what legendary Denzel Washington had to say, in terms of advice:

“[Washington told me] ‘in your highest moments, be careful, that’s when the devil comes for you’.”

The board has banned Smith from the Oscars for 10 years because of his indiscretions.
