Bradley Cooper still lives with his mom, despite being a world-famous actor and 48-years-old, but the reason is a heartwarming one…

Cooper is known for his incredible acting skills and for always remaining close to his family.

One thing that has been in the news for quite some time now is that Cooper still lives with his mother, Gloria Campano.

Cooper believes that he and his mother still “need each other” following the death of his father, Charles Cooper.

His father’s death was a difficult time for the family, and Cooper wanted to do everything in his power to make sure his father was surrounded by love and attention.

In 2011, he moved into his parents’ house and put his acting career on hold to be there for his father, who had been diagnosed with lung cancer. Unfortunately, his father passed away just five months later.

After his father’s death, Cooper realized how much his mother needed him and offered her to move in with him in Los Angeles.

In an interview with the LA Times in 2013, he explained the situation, saying, “My family is very close, and my dad dying was brutal for all of us. It was a schism, and its aftershock has not stopped. And we need each other. So here we are. But don’t get me wrong. It’s not without complications. It’s not like I live in a compound and she’s in the guesthouse. No. She’s in the next room.”

It’s clear that the mother-son duo has an incredibly close relationship, as Cooper has been known to invite his mother as his date to different red carpet events.

They even attended the Academy Awards ceremony together last year.

They spent the strict Covid-19 lockdown together in 2020, along with Cooper’s daughter, Lea, and his two dogs.

Campano also doesn’t shy away from making jokes at her son’s expense, as seen in a T-Mobile commercial that aired during the 2023 Super Bowl. Watch below:

The commercial shows Cooper trying to sell a phone while wearing a bright pink T-Mobile employee shirt.

Campano appears in the commercial and takes hilarious jibes at her son, saying, “Yeah, I don’t like the way you look. You look like a flamingo.”

When Cooper tries to defend himself by mentioning his nine Oscar nominations, his mom swipes back, saying, “Yeah, but you’ve never won anything.”

While living with his mother may come with its complications, it’s clear that Cooper values the close relationship he has with her.

He continues to work on various projects, such as providing the voice for Rocket Raccoon in the 2023 film Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, producing the sequel to the 2019 blockbuster Joker, titled Joker: Folie à Deux, and starring in and producing Maestro, a Leonard Bernstein biopic for Netflix.

But he always makes sure to be there for his family, too. As Cooper himself once said, “Family is everything, and that’s what I live by.”
