Brittney Griner was exchanged for Russian arms dealer, Viktor Bout in a prisoner swap last week.
The athlete has been in prison for 10 months after being convicted of cannabis possession.
Bout aka “Merchant of Death” is a former Soviet military officer who is serving a 25-year prison sentence in the US and is charged of conspiring to kill Americans. export anti-aircraft missiles and to provide material support to a terrorist organisation.
Bout claims to be innocent.

The athlete will have to adjust to life on the outside, which will take some time. ESPN reported that the star was back on the basketball court for the first time in almost a year.
Lindsay Kagawa Colas has shared that the star is not ready to announce if she plans to return to the sport or not:
