Cardi B is setting the record straight amidst allegations made by her husband, Offset.
Taking to Twitter Spaces on Monday, the Grammy-winning artist addressed Offset’s claim that she had been unfaithful.
“First and foremost, let me say,” Cardi began, melodically. “You can’t accuse me of things you know you’re guilty of. Sing it with me, y’all! And I see how easy it is for you to shift the blame onto me. Yes, honey!”
Speaking directly to her audience, she urged them not to pay attention to Offset’s unfounded accusations. The “Money” rapper emphasized that Offset was spiraling and fabricating falsehoods.
“Come on now, I’m Cardi B, n—a. Sometimes these motherf–kers forget who I am,” she asserted. “If I were involved with anyone, trust me, the world would know. I’m not just anybody.”
Cardi B, known for her hit song “Bodak Yellow,” explained that she couldn’t engage with an ordinary person because they would inevitably share their encounter with the world.
On the other hand, she argued that she couldn’t entertain anyone in the industry either because they, too, would share the details.
Directly addressing Offset, Cardi called for him to stop playing dumb. She made it clear that she was serious and had no more to say on the matter.
In a now-deleted Instagram Story earlier that day, Offset, known for his track “Walk It Talk It,” had accused Cardi of infidelity, referring to her as his wife and the mother of their two children.
Cardi B and Offset tied the knot in secret in September 2017.
They welcomed their daughter Kulture in July 2018, who is now almost five years old. Their son, Wave, was born in September 2021 and is almost two years old.
