Jameela Jamil and Soledad O’Brien have called out Kim Kardashian’s work ethic comments.
The actress, Jamil, alongside journalist O’Brien have criticized the Kardashian’s so called “advice” to working women.
Kim, alongside her sisters Khloe and Kourtney, as well as head of the Kardashian clan, Kris Jenner, were all profiled by Variety for their upcoming Hulu reality series “The Kardashians” which premieres April 14th.
During the interview, Kim, aged 41-years-old, said:
“I have the best advice for women in business. Get your f—ing ass up and work. it seems like nobody wants to work these days.”
Understandably, many people took issue with this comment, including celebs such as Jameela Jamil and Soledad O’Brien who called out the reality star on social media. Jameela wrote:
“I think if you grew up in beverly hills with super successful parents in what was a smaller mansion…nobody needs to hear your thoughts on success/work ethic. this same 24 hours in the day s— is a nightmare. 99.9% of the world grew up with a very different 24 hours.”
One follower replied:
“i’m curious how strong kim’s work ethic would be if we took away her assets, saddled her with oppressive loans, and made all her jobs pay minimum wage,”
The English actress responded:
“Dude if we just took away their photoshop they wouldn’t have what they have…”
