Chris Rock’s brother Kenny Rock has challenged Will Smith to a boxing fight after the actor slapped the comedian on stage at the Oscars.
Smith very publicly slapped Rock after he made an insensitive remark about Jada Pinkett Smith, comparing her to G.I Jane – Jada has been open about her struggles with alopecia and didn’t appreciate being used as the punchline.
In the wake of this incident, Smith has since apologized to Rock, the Academy and his fellow nominees.
Rock’s younger sibling has reportedly signed a celebrity boxing deal with promoter Damon Feldman for a fight to take place summer 2022 in Florida.
However, Kenny told TMZ that as no opponent had been chosen for him yet, the comedian’s younger brother wants to defend Rock by getting in the ring with Smith.
When questioned about how the height difference would impact that fight, Kenny said:
“Yes — no if and buts about it…I’ll let the hands do the talking.”
