Dave Chappelle’s attacker was reportedly roughed-up by Busta Rhymes.
Chappelle was attacked on 3 May while performing a Netflix comedy in LA.
The comedy legend was on stage in the Hollywood Bowl when someone stormed and tackled him.
Security quickly rushed to the scene, along with Hollywood superstar Jamie Foxx and rapper Busta Rhymes, to detain the attacker.
Videos of the attack quickly surfaced on social media.

Brianna Sacks, a Buzzfeed reporter who was on the scene, said: ‘The comedian had literally just said he now has more security because of all the uproar from his jokes about the trans community.’
After the incident, Chappelle was quick to thank Foxx for acting quickly in the face of danger.
‘Shout out to Jamie Foxx by the way. Whenever you’re in trouble, Jamie Foxx will show up in a sheriff’s hat.’
Foxx responded:
‘I thought that was part of the show, I didn’t know what the f***…’
‘Listen, I just want to say, this man is an absolute genius. We’ve got to make sure we protect him at all times.’
‘For every comedian who comes out here, this means everything. You’re a genius. You’re a legend, I enjoyed myself thoroughly, and we’re not going to let nothing happen to you.’
Chappelle appeared to be uninjured after the attack and eventually carried on with his set, joking, in pure Chappelle style,: ‘It was a trans man’.
He then continued:
‘I’ve been doing this for 35 years. I just stomped a n**** backstage. I’ve always wanted to do that.’
Chris Rock, who performed later on the same stage, came on and joked: ‘Was that Will Smith?’

Can we all agree to stop beating up comedians?
