Canadian rapper Drake placed a sizeable wager on YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul to knock out British boxer Tommy Fury in their fight which took place on Sunday 26 February.
The rapper posted the Stake betting slip on social media, revealing that he had put down $400,000 on Jake Paul winning by knockout.

If his prediction proved correct, Drake would walk away with a total of $1.4 million, including his initial bet.
The payout is high because the odds of Paul winning by knockout were relatively low, at less than 30%.
However, Paul’s unbeaten record of six wins, four of which were by knockout, suggested that he was a force to be reckoned with in the boxing ring. Fury, on the other hand, has also never been defeated and has never been stopped.
Drake is known for his penchant for making large wagers, having bet $965,000 on the Super Bowl in the past.
While he did not win all of his bets, he performed well overall. He is also known for betting on UFC fights.
While Drake is firmly in Jake Paul’s corner, heavyweight champion Tyson Fury backed his brother Tommy to win by stoppage.
The animosity between Jake Paul and Tommy Fury has been brewing for years, with the two men engaging in heated trash talk in the lead-up to the fight.
They had been scheduled to fight on two previous occasions, but both bouts fell through due to injury and travel issues.
In addition to Drake’s bet, the two fighters have also made a bet with each other. If Jake Paul wins the fight, he will take Tommy Fury’s money, while if Fury wins, Jake will double his winnings.

Tommy Fury has emerged victorious over Jake Paul in their much-anticipated boxing match, which took place at the Diriyah Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on February 26th.
