Eddie Murphy brutally mocked Will Smith at the Golden Globes.

During Tuesday night’s award’s ceremony, the 61-year-old was presented with the Cecil B. DeMille Award for “outstanding contributions to the world of entertainment” and in typical Eddie Murphy style, made everyone laugh in his acceptance speech by making a joke about Will Smith’s infamous Oscars meltdown.

Murphy started off his speech by reminiscing about his four-decade-long career in the entertainment industry. He spoke about the struggles and challenges he faced, and how he overcame them to achieve success. He then went on to say that he had some advice for young actors looking to make it big in the industry. He then added:

“I want to let you know that there is a definitive blueprint that you can follow to achieve success, prosperity, longevity and peace of mind,”

“There’s a blueprint, and I followed it my whole career. It’s very simple, it’s three things. You just do these three things: Pay your taxes. Mind your business … And keep Will Smith’s wife’s name out of your f- -king mouth!”

Murphy then mimicked Smith’s on-stage tantrum from last year’s Academy Awards, where the “Men in Black” star stormed the stage and slapped comedian Chris Rock, who had made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith’s alopecia. The audience erupted in laughter, and Murphy received a standing ovation as he left the stage.

Twitter was also buzzing with praise for Murphy’s speech. One fan wrote:

“Eddie Murphy would be the only person to make a Will Smith joke that was actually funny.”

Another viewer said:

“Eddie stole the show. A legend forever.”

This wasn’t the only reference to Smith’s slap during the Golden Globe ceremony. Host Jerrod Carmichael also made a quip about it saying:

“While we were on commercial, we actually presented Will Smith with the Rock Hudson award for best portrayal of masculinity on television, so please give it up for Will Smith. Please! Please!”

In conclusion, Eddie Murphy’s speech at the Golden Globe ceremony was a showstopper, leaving the audience and Twitter in awe.

His ability to make light of a sensitive topic and deliver it with wit and humor is a testament to his comedic talents. He is truly a legend in the entertainment industry, and his contributions will always be remembered.
