Say what you want about Elon Musk, but you have to admit, he’s absolutely gold on Twitter.
The world’s richest man recently decided to ask his followers whether he should sell billions of Tesla stock. He let them decide, via a Twitter poll.
This came after Musk criticized a Democratic tax proposal that would target American billionaires, and would result in him having a $10 billion tax bill.
Since the poll ended with ‘yes’, Musk has cashed in nearly $7 billion in Tesla stock, according to Securities and Exchange Commission filings.
Much is made lately of unrealized gains being a means of tax avoidance, so I propose selling 10% of my Tesla stock.
Do you support this?

Note, I do not take a cash salary or bonus from anywhere. I only have stock, thus the only way for me to pay taxes personally is to sell stock.

Bernie Sanders then indirected a tweet about the extremely wealthy paying their fair share of tax.
Musk responded with what could be the tweet of the year.
I keep forgetting that you’re still alive

Musk wasn’t finished there. He then hinted he may sell even more shares.
Want me to sell more stock, Bernie? Just say the word …

Regardless of the situation, I think “I keep forgetting that you’re still alive” has to be the best put down I’ve heard for a long time.
