Elon Musk has made the decision to offer “general amnesty” to all suspended accounts on Twitter.
Twitter has spent years banning users that were hateful or toxic and Musk is about to bring them all back…
The billionaire tweeted:
Should Twitter offer a general amnesty to suspended accounts, provided that they have not broken the law or engaged in egregious spam?

72.4% were in favour of the bizarre plan but Musk himself claimed he wanted to buy twitter in the first place because it is full of bots and fake accounts – so, it is hard to know exactly who voted “yes”.
The Tesla CEO claimed that Twitter accounts that had “broken the law or engaged in egregious spam” would not receive “amnesty”.
Unbanning many toxic accounts could have a huge detrimental impact on the site and it is not quite clear why Musk would think this was a good idea.
