Everyone is Freaking Out over Man Complaining about his Pregnant Wife Picking Up her Child’s Mess

A pregnant mother-of-two experienced a distressing situation during a recent flight with United Airlines, as she was allegedly asked by a flight attendant to clean up her daughter’s mess on her hands and knees.

Baseball player Anthony Bass, who plays for the Toronto Blue Jays, took to Twitter to express his outrage, sharing a photo of the spilled popcorn in the aisle of the plane and stating, “The flight attendant @united just made my 22 week pregnant wife traveling with a 5 year old and 2 year old get on her hands and knees to pick up the popcorn mess by my youngest daughter. Are you kidding me?!?!”

The tweet from Anthony Bass sparked a heated debate online, with opinions divided on who should be responsible for cleaning up such messes on board a plane.

While some empathized with the Bass family and criticized the airline for making a pregnant woman clean up after her children, others took a different stance, accusing the family of entitlement.

“I think it’s disgusting that the stewardess made a pregnant woman clean up a mess,” tweeted one supporter. “If they’re going to supply popcorn on the airplane be ready for messes to clean up if you don’t like it, don’t serve popcorn.”

On the other hand, some Twitter users defended the flight attendant’s request, arguing that being wealthy does not entitle someone to special treatment. “Just because you’re rich doesn’t mean everyone is your servant. I hope this helps,” wrote one sarcastic commenter.

Another user added a humorous twist, saying, “Ohh no your wife had to clean up after the mess your kids made lol what a Greek tragedy.”

Anthony Bass responded to the criticism by stating that the cleaning crew should be responsible for such tasks.

However, some followers pointed out that planes may not always have time for thorough cleaning after every flight and that flight attendants are primarily there for safety purposes, not for cleaning.

Sydney’s sister, Jessie James Decker, also took to social media to share her sister’s experience.

In an Instagram Story that has since expired, Jessie wrote, “My sister @sydneyraebass just texted me from her flight on @united. As you know, she is five months pregnant, high-risk, and also traveling alone with her two small children. Blaire accidentally spilled some popcorn in the aisle, and the flight attendant came up to Sydney with a trash bag and a wet wipe, telling her the captain wants Syd to clean up every drop. My poor sister is on her hands and knees, crying in the aisle, completely humiliated and exhausted, with her children while everyone else watched. Way to go, United.”

The incident has raised questions about the responsibilities of passengers and airline staff when it comes to cleaning up messes on board a plane. While some argue that passengers should be responsible for cleaning up after themselves and their children, others believe that it is the airline’s responsibility to provide a clean and safe environment for all passengers, regardless of their circumstances.

As the debate continues, it is clear that the incident has left a lasting impact on the Bass family, particularly Sydney who was pregnant and traveling alone with two young children. The emotional toll of being asked to clean up a mess while on her hands and knees in a public space has been described as humiliating and exhausting, adding to the already challenging experience of flying while pregnant.
