Experts have set a crazy new world record for the longest rifle shot ever.
A team of long-range shooting instructors in the Wyoming desert have set a new world record for the longest rifle shot. Scott Austin and Shepard Humphries of the the group Nomad Rifleman joined with ‘half a dozen’ staff to create this new world record.
Long-distance shooting takes teamwork, with the person pulling the trigger being just one aspect of the entire operation.
The group wrote a press release which read:
“a friend who has a great trigger finger and a smart analytical business mind did the shooting.”
It continues, claiming that the trigger man is a “quiet” and “private” man and does not want to be identified.
The team achieved a new world record for the longest rifle shot ever of 4.4 miles.
The winning shot was their 69th attempt of that morning and the bullet itself took 24 seconds to reach the target.
