Kim Kardashian’s daughter, North West, caused quite a stir as fans were astonished to witness her fearlessly chomping down on a raw, unpeeled onion, resembling an apple, during an episode of “The Kardashians.”
While engaged in preparing sushi and fried chicken in their kitchen, the 10-year-old decided to take a substantial bite out of a sweet onion without peeling it. Kim, 43, inquired, “Can you eat it like that?” while her daughter casually indulged in the pungent vegetable. North, meanwhile, asked her mom if she wanted some while munching on the onion.
Declining her daughter’s offer, Kim humorously remarked, “You’re just going to eat an onion like an apple? This is what she does, people,” turning to the cameras. “She eats veggies like apples.” She then showered North with kisses on the cheek before exclaiming, “Oh, my gosh, this onion breath is going to make me cry!”
Struggling with the strong aroma, Kim commented, “No, it’s so strong. Oh, my gosh, my eyes are literally tearing. How do you not tear?” after North playfully blew her onion breath in her mother’s direction.
North responded with a grin, prompting Kim to high-five her, acknowledging, “We’re the best chefs.” Shocked by the unusual onion-eating display, viewers flooded Twitter with their reactions.
“North West eating onions like apples. If that doesn’t explain everything about her as a kid… lol. A little icon,” one person tweeted.
Another joked, “North West eating a raw onion like an apple makes her the scariest person alive #TheKardashians.”
Reflecting on North’s unique behavior, Kim admitted, “Kourtney [Kardashian] says North is my lesson on this planet,” revealing that her daughter teaches her patience and much about life.
Highlighting her daughter’s individuality, Kim acknowledged, “You definitely just come out your own person.”
Kim shares North with her ex-husband Kanye West, with whom she co-parents their sons Saint, 7, and Psalm, 4, and daughter Chicago, 5, following their divorce in February 2021. Meanwhile, Kanye West married Bianca Censori in December 2022, shortly after finalizing his divorce from Kim.
