Fans have praised Rihanna for not bringing any guests out during her Super Bowl half time performance.

The 34-year-old’s performance during the recent Super Bowl halftime show has garnered widespread acclaim from fans and observers, who were impressed by her captivating performance without the presence of any special guest performers.

The pop sensation took the stage dressed in all red, commanding the attention of the crowd as she energetically belted out a medley of her hit songs, accompanied by a skilled group of dancers.

Despite the opportunity to bring out some of the artists she has collaborated with in the past, Rihanna was the sole focal point of the show, and she did not disappoint.

“Rihanna said ‘I don’t need any guest performers. What a performance,” tweeted one impressed fan.

Another echoed the sentiment, writing, “I don’t want to hear that Rihanna should’ve had a guest performer. No she didn’t.” A third fan declared, “No guest stars needed. Just a celebration of the live return of Rihanna and her absolute bangers! What a brilliant spectacle.”

Rihanna’s decision to perform in the halftime show was a reversal from her previous stance, as she had boycotted the 2019 event due to racial inequality, as highlighted by former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

However, the Barbadian singer saw the Super Bowl as a unique platform to represent immigrants, her home country of Barbados, and Black women everywhere.

In a pre-game press event, Rihanna explained her motivation for performing, saying, “The Super Bowl is one of the biggest stages in the world. As scary as that was because I haven’t been on stage in seven years, there’s something exhilarating about the challenge of it all. It’s important for me to do this, this year. It’s important for representation. It’s important for my son to see this.”

She added, “Representing for immigrants. Representing for Black women everywhere. That’s key for people to see the possibilities. It’s a long way from home, right? It’s a beautiful journey that I’m on. I could have never guessed that I would have made it here, so it’s a celebration of that. I’m really excited to have Barbados on the Super Bowl stage.”
