Former NFL player Peyton Hillis is currently in intensive care after ‘saving his children from drowning’.
Fox 24’s Alyssa Orange has reported that the former Cleveland Browns running back was in Pensacola, Florida when the horrific accident happened.
It is not entirely clear what happened with his children in the water that caused him to jump in but it resulted in the former athlete being taken to hospital and he is reportedly in critical condition.
His uncle, Greg Hillis, shared an update for fans on Facebook:

Williams’ agent Vincent Taylor said in a statement:
“Trent is a hero and thanks to his quick thinking and bravery, he was able to save the lives of his children,”
“We are extremely grateful for the outpouring of love and support from friends and fans and ask for privacy during this difficult time.”
Details about the incident are scarce, but it is clear that Williams’ actions were nothing short of heroic. Drowning is a leading cause of accidental death in children, and the fact that Williams was able to intervene and bring his children to safety is a testament to his strength and bravery.
“Trent’s love for his children knows no bounds and we are grateful that they are safe and sound thanks to his actions,” Taylor’s statement continued. “We ask that everyone keep Trent in their thoughts and prayers as he recovers in the ICU.”
What a hero.
