Franco Harris had his last interview on Tuesday, which showed no signs of trouble before his untimely death.
The Steelers legend spoke about how happy he had been to make it to the 50th anniversary of the “Immaculate Reception.”
TMZ reported that the interview took place for “Not Just Football with Cam Heyward” at around 2.30pm ET on December 20.
The 72-year-old said:
“50 years. C’mon, that’s a long time, but I’m still around to enjoy it, so that’s good,”
Harris’ death was announced on Wednesday and it completely shocked fans.
During the interview, the football legend spoke about one of the greatest plays in sports history. He reminisced about what he was “supposed” to do and that he remembered nothing after catching the ball.
On the outside, nothing appeared to be wrong with the star.
President Biden and former president Obama has shared their condolences for the sporting legend.
