Comedy legend Gilbert Gottfried defended Chris Rock in his final social media post before he sadly died.
The icon comedian died aged 67 on 12 April, as confirmed by his family.
The actor, known for his iconic voice, passed away following a long illness.
Actor Jason Alexander tweeted:
“Gilbert Gottfried made me laugh at times when laughter did not come easily. What a gift. I did not know him well but I loved what he shared with me. My best wishes and sympathy to his family.”

Gottfried showed his support of the comedian as he posted a photo of himself alongside Rock the day following the infamous Oscars slap, with the following caption:
‘Which is the worst crime? Chris Rock being physically assaulted or Chris Rock telling a joke?’
