Fans of the Goonies have been left shocked by the actor who plays Sloth’s true appearance.
The cult classic 80s movie is a story of misfit kids who find a treasure map and decide to go on an adventure and follow it.
At the forefront of the adventure is Sloth, the facially deformed son of Mama Fratelli who got his injuries from being dropped on his head as a baby.
Played by John Matuszak, the actor required 5 hours of make up before appearing on screen as Sloth.

Matuszak was 6 foot 9 and 20st, building up quite the fan base playing as a football player for the Houston Oilers and Washington Redskins. He even went on to win two Super Bowls with the Oaklands Raiders.
Unfortunately, his time on the field left hi, with chronic pain and injuries, causing him to retire in 1983.
His parents, Marv and Audrey Matuszak believed that the pain is what led to his untimely death at the age of 38, due to an accidental drug overdose.
