Jaclyn Hill’s ex-husband Jon Hill, has died aged 33.
The YouTube star announced the sad news on Thursday.
She uploaded the following to posts to her Instagram Stories:
How the drummer died is not yet known. The pair got married in 2009 but decided to separate in 2018, Jaclyn said they would “always make good friends.”
Jon opened up to Billboard in 2019 about his history with drug addiction, even admitting it was the reason for his failed marriage:
“During our third year of marriage, it got to a point where I was having seizures because I was on so much stuff,”
“I started breaking out in hives. So it became noticeable that something was wrong.”
The drummer told the outlet at the time, he eventually did get sober but that the YouTube star had “decided she didn’t want to be” in the relationship anymore.
He said:
“That was a huge shock to me,”
“We were married for nine years. For some reason, I was thinking about how amazing it would be to enjoy Christmas with her while being clean. She often said, ‘You don’t love me because you never want to do things with me.’ But it was because I kept having to hide [my addiction] from her all the time.”
“So coming home to see all my stuff gone and not knowing who she’s with, I was just devastated,”
“Within two months, I was back on drugs.”
