Jameela Jamil has announced that she is leaving Twitter after the news broke that tech billionaire Elon Musk purchased the site.
On 25 April, the founder of SpaceX bought Twitter for a meager $44 billion. Twitter will no longer be a privately owned business.
Many people, including celebs, have taken to the platform to criticize and give their thoughts on what a Musk-owned Twitter will look like.
Jamil stated that she would be leaving the platform as she is afraid of how things will change now that Musk is in charge.
She tweeted:
‘Ah he got twitter. I would like this to be my what lies here as my last tweet. Just really *any* excuse to show pics of Barold. I fear this free speech bid is going to help this hell platform reach its final form of totally lawless hate, bigotry and misogyny. Best of luck’
