Jim Carrey says he’s ‘retiring’ from acting for now.

The legend who recently said he was ‘sickened’ by Will Smith’s slapping Chris Rock at the Oscars, has now revealed his future plans, insisting that he’s ‘fairly serious’.

Speaking to Access Hollywood about his newest film Sonic the Hedgehog 2, the 60-year-old announced he is ‘probably’ going to retire.

He said:

“Well, I am retiring, I am being fairly serious.”

“It depends – if the angels bring some sort of script that’s written in gold ink, that says to me that it’s going to be really important for people to see, I might.”

“I might continue down the road, but I’m taking a break.”

“I really like my quiet life, and I really love putting paint on canvas, and I really love my spiritual life, and I feel like – and this is something you might never hear another celebrity say as long as time exists – I have enough. I’ve done enough. I am enough.”

Footage of Jim Carrey forcefully kissing Alicia Silverstone has resurfaced after the legendary actor criticized Smith for slapping Rock.

The now infamous slap took place at the Oscars awards ceremony on Sunday evening. Rock made an insensitive remark about Pinkett Smith, comparing her to G.I Jane – Jada has been open about her struggles with alopecia and didn’t appreciate being used as the punchline.
