Joe Rogan, the host of the immensely popular Spotify podcast “The Joe Rogan Experience,” decided to defy calls for boycotting Bud Light over its association with trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney. During his latest podcast episode with country music star Zach Bryan, Rogan proudly opened a can of Bud Light and took a sip to kick off the three-hour broadcast.

Amid expectations of backlash from some of his conservative-leaning listeners, Rogan sarcastically apologized, acknowledging that people can sometimes be overly sensitive about such matters. He dismissed the idea of a boycott, stating, “People are silly,” and continued to enjoy his drink with Bryan.

The controversy surrounding Bud Light’s partnership with Mulvaney has had a financial impact on parent company Anheuser-Busch InBev, which reported a significant drop in revenue and profit during the second quarter. The company has also seen a substantial decline in its overall value.

Rogan, who has previously made critical remarks about Mulvaney, criticized the backlash and the tendency of some to villainize Bud Light based on one person’s decisions. He questioned the pattern of public opinion turning against a brand or individual without considering the full context.

Bryan, a supporter of Bud Light, shared his experiences defending the brand and how it led to a public disagreement with fellow country star Travis Tritt, who had also pledged to boycott the beer. However, Bryan later had a face-to-face conversation with Tritt, where they discussed their differing views and found common ground.

Despite his views on the matter, Rogan’s stance has faced criticism on social media, with some users expressing their fear of taking sides in the ongoing culture war. Others went as far as calling for Rogan’s cancellation, expressing concerns about the social impact of such decisions.

As the debate around Bud Light and its association with Dylan Mulvaney continues, Joe Rogan’s podcast remains a platform where various viewpoints are discussed and debated. While some fans may disagree with his opinions, his podcast continues to attract a massive audience, making it a significant voice in the contemporary media landscape.
