Johnny Depp has been caught laughing in court as Alejandro Romero, the apartment receptionist, testified about Amber Heard’s claims.
Depp launched a defamation lawsuit against Heard in 2019, after the Aquaman star described herself as a victim of domestic abuse in a 2018 article she penned in The Washington Post. The trial began Monday 11 April in Fairfax, Virginia.
The 58-year-old was present in court as the deposition of Romero was played. See his reaction below:

The apartment receptionist appeared through a live video link and not only drove during his appearance in court but also vaped while giving his testimony.
Romero worked at the Eastern Columbia Building in Los Angeles, the place where Heard claimed there had been domestic violence.
He was asked about his relationship with the actress, to which he said she was always “really friendly” but that he didn’t have a “close relationship” with her.
He was asked:
“When is the first time that you recall anyone saying anything to you about the police being called … because of a domestic dispute between Depp and Heard?”
He admitted he wasn’t working on the day of the incident, but seen the surveillance footage the following day. Romero said a woman in the gym heard some kind of disturbance coming from the penthouse. He said Depp appeared “agitated”, however stated that he was usually “really calm”.
Romero didn’t witness any injuries to the actress.
The receptionist said he was asked to check the safety of the apartment by Heard and Rocky Pennington, prompting Depp to laugh.
Romero then said:
“I’m tired … I don’t want to deal with this court case … everybody’s got problems and I don’t want to deal with this no more.”
