Yes. I know what you’re thinking. It feels like the Johnny Depp and Amber Heard saga has been raging on for years.

In the latest development, Depp has been granted access to Heard’s phone records to prove the alleged assault was ‘fake’.

Heard claimed Depp gave her two black eyes, a broken nose and a bloody lip during an altercation.

Depp has always claimed those photos are fake.

The Hollywood star’s lawyer said: “Ms Heard’s counsel has repeatedly used these phony photographs at deposition.”

He continued by saying the LAPD “disavowed the photographs” and “did not depict what they saw”.

Now Depp and his legal team are able to access his ex’s phone and hire an expert to examine the photographs.

Heard’s attorney has responded:

“Amber Heard remains willing and able to support the authenticity of her evidence, and her IT forensics expert has cooperated in this effort. In sharp contrast, Mr Depp has been unable to produce even the audio tapes from which he leaked a partial out-of-context portion, much less any support for the authenticity of any of his evidence.”

Earlier this year, a judge also ruled that Amber Heard must reveal whether she actually donated the entirety of her $7 million divorce settlement to charity.

A New York judge granted Depp’s request after the star petitioned for proof that his ex wife donated the settlement to American Civil Liberties Union and to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles as she promised.

Heard always denied ever wanting Depp’s money, and claimed she would give it to charity.

“Mr. Depp is most gratified by the Court’s decision,” Depp’s attorney Benjamin Chew told USA TODAY.

ACLU must now release documents that confirm Heard’s donation.

This comes after the Aquaman 2 producer confirmed Heard would not be cut from the movie, despite pressure from Depp’s fans.

Producer Peter Safran has now made it crystal clear that he, nor the studio, would even think about reacting to “pure fan pressure” in that way.

“I DON’T THINK THAT WE’RE EVER GOING TO REACT TO, HONESTLY, PURE FAN PRESSURE. YOU GOTTA DO WHAT YOU FEEL IS BEST FOR THE MOVIE. WE FELT THAT IF IT’S JAMES WAN AND JASON MOMOA, IT SHOULD BE AMBER HEARD. THAT’S REALLY WHAT IT WAS,”

“LISTEN, ONE IS NOT UNAWARE OF WHAT IS GOING ON IN THE TWITTER-VERSE, BUT THAT DOESN’T MEAN YOU HAVE TO REACT TO IT OR TAKE IT AS GOSPEL OR ACCEDE TO THEIR WISHES. YOU HAVE TO DO WHAT YOU FEEL IS RIGHT FOR THE FILM, AND THAT’S REALLY WHERE WE LANDED ON IT.”
