Johnny Depp’s terrifying texts to his best friend about Amber Heard’s ‘rotting corpse’ have been revealed in court.
The Pirates of the Caribbean actor launched a defamation lawsuit against Amber Heard in 2019, after the Aquaman star described herself as a victim of domestic abuse in a 2018 article she penned in The Washington Post.
In response to this, Heard filed a counterclaim for defamation, with a judge ruling that she could use a defence where her lawyers will argue she is deserving of immunity.
Heard’s lawyer Elaine Bredehoft exposed text messages during cross-examination, sent between Depp and his best friend Isaac Baruch back in 2016.
The 58-year-old allegedly text:
“I hope Amber’s rotting corpse is decomposing in the trunk of a honda civic”.
NEW: More evidence of Johnny Depp's murder fantasies, like the Paul Bettany texts weren't enough. "I hope Amber's rotting corpse is decomposing in the trunk of a honda civic". The court audience gasped, his lawyer giggled…. #IStandWithAmberHeard #JohnnyDeppIsaWifebeater pic.twitter.com/wzXQYCgNJW
