Violent text messages between Johnny Depp and a friend about having sex with Amber Heard’s corpse have surfaced in court.

Depp launched a defamation lawsuit against Amber Heard in 2019, after the Aquaman star described herself as a victim of domestic abuse in a 2018 article she penned in The Washington Post. The trial began Monday 11 April in Fairfax, Virginia.

The 58-year-old took to the stand to attempt to clear his name against Heard’s accusations that he was a domestic abuser.

The horrific text messages have been read out during a cross examination.

Some of the messages were between Depp and WandaVision star Paul Bettany from June 2013, which Depp admitted on the stand that Heard was his girlfriend at this point in time.

The texts in question read:

“Let’s burn Amber!!!”

“Let’s drown her before we burn her!!!”

Heard’s attorney, Ben Rottenborn, asked Depp:

“You said, ‘i will f*** her burnt corpse afterwards to make sure she is dead’… and you wrote that about the woman who would later become your wife.”
