Kate Bush Thanks ‘Stranger Things’ for Giving Her Song ‘Whole New Lease of Life’

Kate Bush has praised Stranger Things Season 4 for giving her song “Running Up That Hill” a ‘whole new lease of life’.

The song was used in the TV show’s latest season and has shot up in popularity ever since. It is listened to by Max Mayfield (Sadie Sink) in several episodes. Watch below:

Billboard reported that the song, which was originally released in 1985, was No. 2 in the US top 50 on Spotify last week and No. 4 on its top 200 global chart.

Since the show aired, old and new fans of the artist have streamed the song. The 63-year-old shared a message of gratitude on her website, read below:

 ‘You might’ve heard that the first part of the fantastic, gripping new series of  ‘Stranger Things’  has recently been released on Netflix. It features the song, ‘Running Up That Hill’  which is being given a whole new lease of life by the young fans who love the show – I love it too! Because of this, Running Up That Hill is charting around the world and has entered the UK chart at No. 8. It’s all really exciting! Thanks very much to everyone who has supported the song.
