Kelis has finally broken her silence regarding the swirling rumors of a potential romance with Hollywood actor Bill Murray.
The renowned singer, known for her hit song “Milkshake,” took to social media to address the speculations surrounding her and Murray’s alleged romantic involvement.
In an Instagram post shared on Friday (9 June), Kelis treated her 1.1 million followers to a series of pictures showcasing her enjoying the summer sun on a picturesque beach.
Accompanying the post, Kelis simply captioned, “I’m a beach bum,” signaling her carefree state of mind.
However, her fans wasted no time flooding the comment section with numerous questions about the recent dating rumors involving herself and the 72-year-old actor.
One Instagram user eagerly inquired, “Ma’am, would you care to address these Bill Murray allegations?!? Cuz damn! What is he doing with all that?” Shortly after this comment was posted, Kelis decided to break her silence and respond directly to the matter. She replied, “Lol no babe, I wouldn’t bother at all.”
Earlier this week, The US Sun reported that Kelis was “dating” the Ghostbusters star, claiming a whirlwind romance had blossomed between them just over a year after the tragic loss of Kelis’ husband, Mike Mora, at the age of 37 due to stomach cancer.
However, neither party has confirmed these reports.
Kelis has been open about her grieving process following the loss of her husband. In March, she shared a heartfelt Instagram post commemorating “exactly a year” since his passing.
In her emotional message, Kelis expressed her generally private nature, particularly when it comes to family matters. However, she acknowledged the undeniable impact her husband’s death has had on her life and personal growth. She explained that this tragic event had led her to delve deep into understanding the mind-body connection, emphasizing that mental and emotional well-being cannot be separated from physical health.
Kelis shared her belief that thoughts, intentions, and overall mindset hold immense power and play a crucial role in overall wellness. Her desire to live well drove her to share her knowledge and experiences with others.
Kelis and Mora were parents to two children, daughter Galilee (2) and son Shepherd (7). Kelis also has a son named Knight (13) from her previous marriage to rapper Nas.
On the other hand, Murray has six children. He shares two sons, Homer (41) and Luke (38), with his first wife Margaret Kelly. Murray also has four sons, Caleb (30), Jackson (27), Cooper (26), and Lincoln (22), with Jennifer Butler, who passed away in 2021, 13 years after their divorce.
