Kylie Jenner is being praised for sharing a photo of her postpartum stomach on social media.
With a following of 320 million, Kylie is the most-followed female instagram user in the world. She mostly uses her page to promote her various products and share glam photos of herself.
She gives off the image of breezing through life and motherhood, only ever posting polished and perfect pictures. In fact, Kylie has been keen to only ever depict her life and body as nothing but perfect that she has even been exposed for using photoshop on her images in the past.
Jenner and her boyfriend Travis Scott welcomed a second baby, a boy, last month on Feb 2, 2022.
Although the celeb couple had originally announced his name as Wolf, Jenner has since revealed they have changed his name, but is yet to announce his new one.
Last week, the make-up mogul surprised her fans with an open and honest clip of her on a treadmill while speaking about how she is coping since welcoming her son:
“This experience for me personally has been a little harder than with my daughter,”
“It’s not easy mentally, physically, spiritually, it’s just crazy.”
“I didn’t want to just get back to life without saying that because i think we can look on the internet – for other moms going through it right now – we can go on the internet, and it might look a lot easier for other people, and put the pressure on us, but it hasn’t been easy for me either.”
“it’s been hard”
“it’s ok not to be ok”
“Once i realised that i was putting some pressure on myself…and i just kept reminding myself that i made a whole human, a beautiful healthy boy,”
“we have to stop putting pressure on ourselves to be ‘back’. not even physically, just mentally, after birth. so yeah, just sending some love. i love you guys!”
On Monday, Jenner shared unseen footage from her pregnancy and birth in a video documentary, dedicated to her son. On Instagram, she posted a short clip of the video alongside some images. One of her newborns feet pressed against her bare belly.
Fans are praising the star, with one writing on Reddit:
“as a mommy, i love the rawness of this picture. the stretched skin, the postpartum tummy, the little exra weight. i just love it.”
“for women who have such big platforms, this is the type of content we need from them! i love this so much!”
