Kylie Jenner recently revealed the name of her son on Instagram, stating that it is Aire.
However, some people who speak Arabic have warned that the phonetic spelling of the name sounds like a word that means “penis” in their language.
Many fans have taken to Twitter to question whether Kylie and Travis consulted anyone who speaks Arabic before choosing the name.
This has led to some Arabic speakers urging Kylie to change her son’s name, while others have defended her decision, stating that the spelling is different and it’s not the same word.

Jenner and her partner, Travis Scott, had previously given their son the placeholder name of Wolf Jacques Webster, but decided to change it to something more permanent.
The businesswoman was happy to share the pronunciation of the name, stating that it is pronounced the same as “air.”
Jenner had previously announced in March of last year that her son’s name was no longer going to be Wolf.
“We just really didn’t feel like it was him,” she stated. “Just wanted to share because I keep seeing Wolf everywhere.”
The Kardashian clan seems to be supportive of the new name, with Kylie’s mother, Kris Jenner, expressing her love for Aire Webster, and her sister, Khloe Kardashian, calling him “the king.”
However, the recent warnings from Arabic speakers have led to some mixed reactions, with some calling for the name to be changed, while others have defended Kylie’s decision.
“Kylie Jenner is gonna fall on her knees and change her sons name once she sees what Arabic Twitter is saying.”
“Ok but not me reading an article that Kylie Jenner named her son to what translates as ‘my penis’ in Arabic. Like this child won’t travel to Dubai or somewhere in the Middle East in his privileged life. Poor kid. Change it back to Wolf.”
“If you’re ever having a bad day. Just think of the poor child of Kylie Jenner who renamed her son from Wolf to Aire announced earlier today – so then we find out in Arabic means my d**k. Poor kid.”
It remains to be seen if Kylie and Travis will take these warnings into consideration and potentially change their son’s name.
