The new trailer for Greta Gerwig’s upcoming Barbie movie has caused quite a stir, with fans and critics alike discussing its star-studded cast and storyline.

However, amidst all the hype, some fans have taken particular notice of one cast member’s feet.

Margot Robbie, who plays the lead role of Barbie, is first shown in the trailer from the calf down.

The camera zooms in on Robbie’s legs as Barbie struts across the screen in her heels, before stepping out of them and revealing her impressive insteps.

This shot alone was enough to send Twitter into a frenzy, with fans expressing their admiration for Robbie’s feet.

Some even joked that they would pay for a cinema ticket just to see them in action…

One user tweeted, “The first shot of the Barbie movie trailer is a shot of Margot Robbie’s feet. They know there’s a massive group of guys that will pay to see this in IMAX.”

Another commented, “I’m at the point where I think I could pick out Margot Robbie’s feet in a lineup.”

Oddly enough, this isn’t the first time that Robbie has ditched socks and showed off her toes. Some fans shared screenshots of Robbie baring her bare feet in other films, particularly Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.

Interestingly, Robbie’s co-star in that film, director Quentin Tarantino, has been accused of having a foot fetish due to his female characters often showing off their feet in close-up shots.

When asked about this in 2021, Tarantino responded by saying, “There’s a lot of feet in a lot of good directors’ movies. Before me, the person foot fetishism was defined by was Luis Buñuel, another film director. And Hitchcock was accused of it and Sofia Coppola has been accused of it.”

Whether or not Gerwig will join this list of directors after Barbie is released remains to be seen.

It’s worth noting that this obsession with Robbie’s feet may seem bizarre to some. As one user tweeted, “That admittedly sounds very strange… and it probably is.”
