A video of a beauty pageant contestant’s odd answer to a question at Miss Teen USA 2007 has people shocked.
Caitlin Upton, who represented Carolina, made it to the top 5.
It appears that her nerves got the best of her and caused her to respond to a rather simple question in a very odd way.
Guest judge Aimee Teegarden asks:
“Recent polls have shown a fifth of Americans can’t locate the US on a world map. Why do you think this is?”
Caitlin responds:
“I personally believe that US Americans are unable to do so because some people out there in our nation don’t have maps.”
It only gets worse from there…watch below:

The internet has torn the now viral clip apart, with some people commenting:
“What???? Why did the audience clap to that nonsense?”
“I’m from South Carolina, and that was hard to watch. Wow.”
“She’s a Republican in Congress now right? She must be? If she’s not, she will be shortly.”
“Iraq got caught in the crossfire lmao.”
“Why did she drag South Africa into it?”
