Melanie Rauscher, star of the reality survival series Naked and Afraid has sadly passed away at the age of 35-years-old.
The announcement of her passing was made via an online obituary, which noted that the star had ‘passed away suddenly on Sunday, 17 July, 2022.’
The former member of the US Navy who went on to take part in the reality show has received an outpouring of of tributes.
A representative of the Prescott Police Department named Corey Kasun told TMZ the 35-year-old was found in the guest room of a home in Prescott, Arizona where she was reportedly dog sitting for people who were on vacation.
Not only did Rauscher serve in the US Navy, but she was also ’employed at the Prescott VA Medical Center at the time of her passing’.
On her online obituary, it states:
“She lived her life in service to others,”
Authorities are currently not suspecting foul play.
