Just when you thought 2021 couldn’t get worse, NASA have decided to warn us that an asteroid is heading towards Earth’s orbit.
The 1,082-foot massive chunk of space rock is going ‘skim past us’ on December 11th.
But despite being 2.4 million miles from Earth when it passes, that’s actually not far when it comes to asteroids passing earth, and it’s still concerning NASA. So much so that it has been put in the “potentially hazardous” category.
Anything that comes within 4.65 million miles of our planet alerts NASA due to the fact that one slight trajectory in the asteroid’s path could prove to be disastrous for us.
Let’s hope for an uneventful December 11th. We’ve been through enough.
