Netflix has been a hub for all sorts of movies, and recently the streaming platform has released a thriller that is causing viewers to feel “sick” to their stomachs.
Fall, a survival thriller, is about two friends named Becky and Hunter, played by Grace Caroline Currey and Virginia Gardner, respectively, who embark on a journey to scatter the ashes of Becky’s husband, Dan.
Unfortunately, things take a turn for the worse when the ladder they use to climb a 2,000 feet tall radio tower breaks, leaving them stranded at the top.
Adding to the tense situation, the bag that carries their supplies falls just out of reach, leaving the two women with no water or phone to call for help.
Given the premise of the film, it’s not surprising that it’s not an easy watch, especially for those who have a fear of heights.
Netflix’s official Twitter account even gave a warning, saying, “Almost every single shot from Fall (2022) will make you feel a bit wobbly.”
Viewers have taken to Twitter to express their thoughts on the movie, with one person saying, “Fall on Netflix is one of the most terrifying films I’ve seen in my entire life, and I love horror.”
Another viewer stated that the movie triggered their fear of heights, saying, “I’ve always found it difficult to describe my random fear/anxiety of heights, tall objects, and large open spaces from above. Fall on Netflix is basically it, my hands were sweaty, and vertigo kicked in just watching it.”
The movie has a 79 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a 6.4 rating on IMDB, although it’s likely that some of the lower ratings come from viewers who had to look away from the screen due to the intense nature of the film.
If you’re brave enough to give it a watch, Fall is available for streaming on Netflix now. But be warned, it may be a one-time-only watch for some, as the movie is definitely not for the faint of heart.
