Netflix viewers have been warned about the new series ‘Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story‘ as some people found even the first episode unbearable.
It’s a dramatization of the story of Jeffrey Dahmer, the serial killer who was convicted of the horrific killing of seventeen men and boys between 1978 and 1991.
Dahmer also admitted to being a cannibal and eating the flesh of his victims.
He would drug and sexually assault his victims – even sometimes performing twisted experiments on them.
The serial killer was sentenced to 15 consecutive life sentences but was beaten to death by an inmate in 1994.
The new Netflix series starring Evan Peters, has received mixed reactions online, with some people not able to make it through the first episode and warning others of the graphic content and to watch with caution as the show may impact their mental health.
Some noted that most of Dahmer’s victims were LGBTQ+ and POC.
People took to Twitter:

I couldn’t get through episode 1 of Dahmer. I ain’t like that the first episode’s victim was black, it pissed me off.

The show’s consulting producer, Rashad Robinson, said that it is a “story of deep and systemic injustice, of people who were harmed and all the ways in which society failed them.”
