Think about it. How much harder would the Super Bowl hit if it was held on a Saturday?

Who even decided to hold it on a Sunday? How messed up was that person?

Well, one high school kid has had enough, and he’s started a petition for Super Bowl 56 to be held on Saturday, giving us an extra day to nurse a wicked hangover.

The petition reads:

“It will get more money. and get more visitors to the game. NFL will get more television views because most government jobs have Sunday off. It will let more children enjoy their beloved game on TV or at venue. Most of the football playoff games are on Saturday anyway.”

Why is the Super Bowl played on a Sunday?

Unfortunately it looks like the NFL won’t budge for the good of our hangovers.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell confirmed why the Super Bowl is played on a Sunday.

In 2018 he said:

“The reason we haven’t done it in the past is simply just from an audience standpoint. The audiences on Sunday night are so much larger. Fans want to have the best opportunity to be able to see the game and we want to give that to them, so Sunday night is a better night.”

This is a petition I can really get behind. You can sign it here.
