People are pointing out the same thing after Chris Rock has broken his silence following the Oscars drama.
Will Smith very publicly slapped Rock after the comedian made an insensitive remark about Jada Pinkett Smith, comparing her to G.I Jane – Jada has been open about her struggles with alopecia and didn’t appreciate being used as the punchline.
In the wake of this incident, Smith has since apologized to Rock, the Academy and his fellow nominees, but many are questioning where Jada’s apology is from Rock for the joke which sparked the whole thing in the first place.
How many days have passed without an apology to Jada?

@GMA What Will Smith did was wrong, but why is everyone letting Chris Rock off so easily? He still hasn't given a full apology, especially to Jada.

“When Smith stepped on stage Rock said “Uh oh”…..knowing that Smith was pissed. Why not immediately apologize and defuse the situation.”
“Yes, Smith shouldn’t slap him but Rock was wrong too.”
Would an apology from Rock have defused this whole situation before it escalated as it did? Or should everyone have been able to ‘take a joke’ as many have said?
Either way, this slap is definitely going down in history as one of the craziest things to happen at the Oscars…
