Piers Morgan has slammed Amber Heard’s new interview, saying she needs to ‘stop playing the victim’.
Johnny Depp launched a defamation lawsuit for $50 million against his ex wife in 2019 after the Aquaman star described herself as a victim of domestic abuse in a 2018 article she penned in The Washington Post.
Heard then countersued for $100 million as she claimed Depp’s legal team started a “smear campaign” against her.
Depp won the legal battle and the Aquaman star has been ordered by the court to pay more than $8 million to Depp in damages.
A clip of Heard’s first sit-down interview since her defeat in court against Depp was shared and Morgan has not held back.
Watch the clip below:
The controversial broadcaster spoke out on Twitter against Heard saying:
‘The jurors didn’t read any of the social media stuff, they listened to the evidence & concluded she was lying.’
‘I suggest it’s time for Ms Heard to stop playing the victim,’
